Penrose Ave is an online platform that connects families ("Clients") with independent service providers ("Providers"), including but not limited to Newborn Care Specialists, doulas, nannies, and household staff.

Penrose Ave is not an employer, agency, or staffing firm.

We do not hire, employ, or supervise Providers, and we do not guarantee the performance, conduct, or qualifications of any user.

2. User Accounts

By creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Use the platform in a lawful and respectful manner

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.

3. User Responsibilities

Providers are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy of their profiles, qualifications, and experience
  • Services they offer and deliver

Clients are solely responsible for:

  • Vetting and selecting Providers
  • Conducting interviews, background checks, and due diligence

Penrose Ave does not verify all user-submitted information and makes no guarantees regarding outcomes.

4. Messaging & Communication

The platform may include messaging features that allow Clients and Providers to communicate directly.

By using these features, you agree:

  • Not to send spam, harassment, or inappropriate content
  • Not to misuse or exploit other users

We reserve the right to monitor or restrict messaging if misuse is suspected.

5. Payments & Fees

Penrose Ave may charge:

  • Membership fees
  • Job posting fees
  • Optional premium features

Payments are processed through Stripe.

All fees are clearly presented at the time of purchase.

6. Refund Policy

Fees are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

However, Penrose Ave reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to issue refunds or credits in certain circumstances.

Penrose Ave does not guarantee:

  • That a Client will find a Provider
  • That a Provider will secure work
  • The quality, safety, or legality of services provided

All interactions and agreements are solely between users.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Penrose Ave and West Coast Doula, Inc. are not liable for:

  • Any interactions, agreements, or disputes between users
  • Any damages resulting from services arranged through the platform
  • Loss of data, income, or opportunity

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

  • Violates these Terms
  • Engages in harmful, fraudulent, or inappropriate behavior
